We writers are a quirky crew. We just look at life in a unique way. It seems that no matter where we turn, there is always inspiration lurking, igniting a spark that propels the cogs of our brains to churn away until that inevitable pile of words makes its way to the page.
We have to write it down. We can’t help ourselves. We’re obsessed. We’re compelled. We write. It’s what we do.
The computer tantalizes us. It draws us. It lures us with that keyboard…and all those letters…just waiting to be tapped. Aaaah. Such power. Such satisfaction right there at on the tips of our fingers.
And sometimes frustration…with that cursor flashing as we labor over finding just the right word. Yet, we press on (literally) to communicate that thought, write that story, encourage someone, and to make lives better.
As Christian writers, we have tremendous responsibility as we follow a calling. A gift has been placed before us. Yet this gift is not ours to open. Rather, it is ours to share. And we have the privilege of preparing that package…of making it one that readers can’t wait to tear into. That process takes time and loving care. It takes sacrifice and tenacity. It requires learning and growing.
We sure hope that Write2Ignite is on your calendar as a part of your package preparation! We promise to inspire you, to challenge you, to encourage you, and to equip you as you seek to honor God with the gift He placed in your care. You will leave compelled to write more, to write better, and to truly write to ignite His fire in this generation and those to come!

Amen! It is such a huge privilege to enjoy what we do every day, isn’t it?
Blessings piled upon blessings, it seems. They make the frustrations and headaches of writing well worth it for me.
See you in March!
Jean
Can’t wait!!!
Hoping everyone will come join us and be in prayer about all that God is going to do that weekend!
Yes, it is a gift to be shared. Nice way of putting it, Kristi. ANd it certainly is a compulsion. See you soon!
Look forward to spending time with you, Carol!! Thanks for your kind words!
I am compelled… indeed! Some might say it is a bit over the top at times. But hey – as long as my fellow writers understand… I’m good!
Yes! We’re in great company!
