My First Write2Ignite! Conference

Last week we heard from another happy Write2Ignite! 2012 attendee.  It’s a joy to read these, so, keep them coming!

This was my first Write2Ignite! Conference and I was a bit nervous because none of my writing friends were able to go with me. As a fairly new writer, going to a conference alone made me feel a bit nervous.

However, from the moment I arrived at the registration table, I was made to feel welcome. Everything was well organized, and your entire team was friendly and helpful the whole weekend.

There were three of your coordinators that seemed to go the extra mile to connect with me–Samantha Bell, Kristi Butler and Jill Roman Lord. The whole team was great, these were just the ones the Lord seemed to bring into my path for an extra blessing. A special thanks goes to them for being transparent and  taking time to talk with me.

Write2Ignite! had so much to offer to beginning writers it was hard deciding which workshops to take! Talking with the wide variety of editors was educational and productive. Oh, and the friendships that were planted at the conference! God has watered them and they are growing into wonderful blessings.

The door prizes were a pleasant surprise…so many! After I returned home, I learned I had won a free “Two-4-One” critique for advertising the conference on my website. Woohoo! Icing on the cake.

Thanks Write2Ignite! Coordinators. I’ll be back and next time I’m bringing friends.

It was my first time too, and I was so grateful for the many kindnesses offered, not just from the team but from other attendees. I hope to bring some friends next year.

We are still enjoying our bath spa, and Kristi’s rock and feather are great companions in my office.
