Blessing Box

Last year our Conference attendees donated 52 books board books and picture books to Ready4Reading of Greenville, South Carolina. Ready4Reading is a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization.

Its purpose is three-fold:

1. To guide underserved parents and caregivers of (primarily) newborns through 48-month-olds to encourage in their children a love of books;
2. To help those parents develop their children’s readiness for reading; and
3. To provide those families with children’s books to keep in their homes.

We ask each Conference attendee to help Write2Ignite! to again be a blessing to Ready4Reading. We ask everyone to bring a new or gently used board book or picture book to contribute to our BLESSING BOX for Ready4Reading of Greenville, South Carolina. It can be a book you have authored yourself or one you purchased. We’ll collect the books in our Blessing Box and present them to a representative of Ready4Reading on Saturday.

When children learn early to love books and reading they are more apt to succeed at reading and in school. AND that means they are more apt to read God’s Word.
