One-Day Writer’s Conference hosted by Lexington Word Weavers!

Lexington Word Weavers (LWW) is a local (Lexington, South Carolina) chapter of Word Weavers International, a Christian writers’ development and critique organization that offers the annual Florida Christian Writers Conference and helps members in various locales to set up their own local critique groups using the WW model and structure.

The LWW chapter, led by Jean Wilund, periodically offers one-day conferences or seminars on specific topics such as blogging and social media, fiction and nonfiction writing, editors’ tips, writing and submitting devotionals, and developing as a writer. Having attended a program offered in January of 2017, I can attest to the warm welcome this group provides as well as the attention to detail and professional quality of its programming.

The next planned conference will feature author Mike Dellosso as speaker, September 16, 2017, at:

Riverbend Community Church

1015 Corley Mill Rd
Lexington, SC 29072

Dellosso is known for his eight novels as well as nonfiction books and various magazine articles. While he describes himself modestly as “not a very interesting person,” his stories of suspense have won acclaim from fans and professional reviewers. He unashamedly identifies himself as a follower of Christ and work in progress. See more about Dellosso, including his blog on writing, faith, and being a cancer survivor, here.

Free Webinar!

On Wednesday, September 21, Write2Ignite will offer a free video-conferencing webinar as a pre-conference bonus, the first of what we hope will be regularly featured webinar classes.

Cheri Cowell, award-winning author and speaker as well as owner and publisher of EA Books Publishing, will present a special free webinar entitled “Evaluating Your Options for new and established writers. Cheri, who offers numerous classes and workshops on publishing, promises to “discuss traditional publishing, answer some forbidden questions, and take a look at the many options for self, independent, co-, and partnership publishing.”

Confusion about new and traditional publishing services in the age of digital publishing raises concerns and questions for many writers seeking the best publication format for their work. Cheri, with a team of ten professionals, helps writers publish in a variety of formats, including print, print-on-demand, audiobook, and e-book.

Offered by invitation to those who pre-registered for the 2016 conference, which was cancelled, the webinar will also be available on a first-come, first-served basis to additional participants. Contact us at hiskid410@gmail.com.
