About Us...

For the past few years, many writers and creators of children’s Christian literature have been talking. We’ve heard many of them say that they longed for a place where they could meet and talk with others who share their passion for youth. We’ve heard them say that if someone would provide the place, then they would come.

After attending a conference for the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, a group of Christian children’s writers and illustrators met and decided to step out into the deep and plan an event where they could gather with others who shared not only their passion for children’s literature, but also their faith.

Knowing that this effort would be a total act of obedience and faith, the group waited and prayed before moving or announcing the event to the general public. They waited for God to give them the place, the time, and the name of the conference. Out of their prayers and many meetings, the first Write2Ignite! Conference was born. The first conference was held in November 2008 in the greater Charlotte, NC area in Indian Trail, NC.

God’s presence is never more evident than when looking into the faces and hearing the voices of children. In this day and time, when the enemy is attacking more fiercely than ever, we, the staff of the Write2Ignite! Conference believe that it is more critical than ever that we teach children about the Lord and His Kingdom. Because we are parents and grandparents of children on the front line, we have a passion to provide them with tools to help them to not only fight and survive, but to also thrive.

This is the reason we are presenting to you the Write2Ignite! Conference. We hope you will join us as we share God’s messages and watch our children come to understand that they are powerful individuals, made in God’s image. We invite you to join us as we see His fire burn brightly in the hearts and lives of the next generation!
