Brenda Covert is a children’s author and editor for books ranging from picture books to adult fiction and non-fiction. Her debut picture book, Meanwhile Back at the Manger, released November 2025, and shares the joy of Jesus’ birth through a creative retelling. Brenda has written more than 400 short stories for children, plus poems, scripts, and other creative works.

When she’s not writing or editing, you might find Brenda reading aloud to her grandchildren, planning holiday crafts, or enjoying a cup of cocoa any time of the year!
