Critique Groups

Write2Ignite is pleased to offer active members the opportunity to participate in virtual critique groups as space allows. These small groups meet monthly and are formed with care so writers can receive helpful feedback, encouragement, and accountability.

Genres we critique include:

  • Fiction Picture Books
  • Board Books or Concept Books
  • Devotions or Bible Studies for Children or teens
  • Historical Fiction or Historical
  • Nonfiction for Young Children
  • Middle Grade or YA Fiction
  • Chapter books

You’ll find willing and helpful partners in making your manuscripts the best they can be.

We currently have several groups that meet virtually each month. They use email to trade manuscripts and comment on them.

New participants are added during scheduled onboarding windows as openings are available.

There is no additional fee for this service.

Write2Ignite critique groups are available to active W2I members at no additional cost.

Because each group is small and formed with care, new participants are added during scheduled onboarding times rather than on a rolling basis. This gives our critique group team time to learn about each writer, consider genre and experience, review current openings, and help place new members in a group that is a good fit.

You are welcome to express interest at any time. Our critique group team will follow up with more information about current availability and the next onboarding opportunity.

Membership is required before joining a critique group, but placement depends on group openings and group fit.

For more information, or to express interest in joining a group, please contact Kathy O’Neill at critiquegroups@write2ignite.com
