Our Origins:

Some people know they were born to be writers – others find their stories later on. Writers find each other to share their writing, ask for advice, give opWoman reading an open book on a stone wall by waterinions, and help each other make their stories the best they can be.

That’s how Write2Ignite Conference for Christian Writers of Children’s and Young Adult Literature began in 2008– with a few writers who felt compelled to write stories for younger readers: stories with ideas and characters reflecting the truth recorded in God’s Word. Most writing conferences they had attended focused more on writing for adults than writing for kids.

Write2IgniteTeam members developed the annual conference as well as other programming, resources, and website.  In 2011, the group registered as a 501(c)3 nonprofit.
